| Abstract | In Creswell (Oregon) High School's award winning vocational education program, students study energy efficient construction along with basic building skills. Part of the program has been the active recruitment of female, minority, disadvantaged, and handicapped students into the vocational area. Students have assembled solar hot water collectors, built a passive solar greenhouse, organized a touring energy road show, and gained state and national recognition for their efforts. This publication explores the history and development of Creswell's energy efficient construction program and analyzes its implications for other schools. (Author/MLF) |
