Abstract	The learning activities presented in this handbook illustrate educational opportunities related to participation in competitive activity as exemplified by the Olympic Games. Designed for use with students in grades seven through nine, these learning units may be integrated with the existing curriculum for the class. Subjects offered include mathematics and the metric system, art, music, geography, history, nutrition, drug abuse, physical fitness, and writing and oral skills. For each unit, grade levels and learning objectives are given. Articles on Olympic concepts and history, an Olympic spelling list, information on Olympic committees, and a bibliography are appended.
