Abstract	Written in Spanish and focusing on art activities for early childhood education, this manual provides guidelines for Spanish-speaking teachers of preschool and primary school children. The content of the manual is oriented to the learning styles and special interests of Spanish-speaking children. Part One defines artistic activity in the preschool and suggests how the development of creativity might be facilitated. Part Two advises ways to arrange the classroom, the art area, furniture and equipment, storage areas for materials, and suggests ways of presenting materials and tools for artistic activities. Part Three discusses problems that arise in the conduct of art activities and indicates possible solutions. Part Four explores art media that provide opportunities for creativity, such as collage and assemblage, painting and sketching, printing, marionettes and masks. Plans for making a pinata are provided. Each part of the manual includes exercises for trainees. A list of Child Development Associate (CDA) competencies in the area of art activities is appended.
