AbstractAs a reference guide for handicapped students at Delhi College, this handbook provides information relative to and identifies the physical skills necessary for the completion of core courses in 37 academic programs in the areas of agriculture and life sciences, engineering technologies, business and management, vocational education, and general studies. For each program, the handbook provides information about: (1) course requirements in terms of lectures, laboratory work, reading assignments, library work, papers, guest lectures, field trips, and internships; (2) the physical accessibility of the lecture and laboratory settings and the type of furniture utilized in these settings; (3) the instructional methods and materials used in lectures and laboratories and the availability of special assistance and alternative examination methods; (4) the physical demands of the course, including requirements for standing, stooping, lifting, motor coordination, tactile sensitivity, ability to take notes, and task completion speed; and (5) the extent to which the class environment duplicates actual working conditions. Technical electives and independent study courses are not included in the handbook. (JP)
