Abstract | This report, one of two related volumes, is the work of an Illinois task force on school violence and vandalism. It contains detailed recommendations to local districts plus a list and a brief description of resources that they can use to plan programs for reducing school and community violence and vandalism. Specific recommendations discussed include educational programs and student involvement; community, parent, and police involvement; legal alternatives; and design and security measures.
