| Abstract | Science teachers participating in a seminar were asked to respond to the following question: "Based on your teaching experiences, what kinds of research related to classroom teaching practices would you like to see done?" The responses were classified into 12 logical factors by a panel of reviewers, and ranked according to frequency of response. As a result, the most important concerns of the teachers were research on the influence of science classroom experiences on cognitive achievement; research on the effects of teaching science in the interdisciplinary mode as it relates to areas such as mathematics, social studies, and reading; and research on motivational techniques that relate to learning and continual involvement in science.
