Abstract | This profile of entering freshmen at North Carolina State University for fall 1975 presents statistical data and a descriptive summary of the data. Information is presented on the following: new freshman headcount enrollment by field of study by sex (1969-75) and by residence (in-state, national, or international); new freshman black enrollment (1972-75); mean CHSR, SATV, SATM, and UPGA by field of study and sex (1971-75); educational level achieved by father; reasons for enrolling at the college; educational goals; opinions on campus issues; proportion of new freshmen participating in selected activities during year prior to college entry; religion in which reared and present religious preference; political views; proportion of students needing special assistance in selected areas; decision about major and/or career; and preferred on-campus housing arrangements.
