| Abstract | Extensive tables, figures, and data summaries outline the following components of tentative (as of November 1978) 10-year enrollment projections (1980-89) for Montgomery College (Maryland): (1) high school graduates--immediate enrollment, delayed enrollment, early graduations, private and parochial school graduations, and early placement students; (2) out-of-county and out-of-state residents; (3) returning matriculated students; (4) special or non-matriculated students; and (5) off-campus or extension credit students. Data is also provided for individual campus enrollment, student credit hour load, non-credit or credit-free short courses, and fiscal year 1979-80 estimates of number of students and number of credit hours expected. The model upon which the projections are based consists of a system of linear equations, and a number of sub-units of these which are related to a sector of the college's total student body. Each sub-unit allows for external information in a data matrix; past experience derivations in a factor matrix; professional judgment and reasonable expectations that are not reflected in past history in a prognostication matrix.
