| Abstract | The Women's Re-Entry to Education Program (WREP) came into being at San Jose City College after the recognition that a large segment of the community's population was underrepresented at the college. That group was composed of unemployed or underemployed women, economically and educationally disadvantaged women, women who were heads of households at or below the poverty level, and women from ethnically and culturally diverse backgrounds. The purposes of the program were the identification and recruitment of the women and the provision of educational opportunities and support services appropriate to their needs. The evaluation report reviews the program goals and objectives as well as those of the participants, the evaluation methodology and findings, and conclusions and recommendations.
