| Abstract | This report sponsored by the Medical Library Association makes recommendations on the planning and teaching of continuing education courses. Included are discussions of ways to determine the scope and objectives of a course, gear a course towards a target population, and limit a course in scope so as to include all material within a limited time period. Designing learning activities with special consideration for the importance of teacher and learner participation, and individualized instruction are also examined. A variety of instructional methods and techniques are presented as well as ways of evaluating instruction to determine whether course objectives have been met. (AP) |
