| Abstract | This tenth annual report of national normative data on students entering college as first-time, full-time freshmen is part of an ongoing longitudinal study of the American higher education system. Its purpose is to determine the effects of college on students. Data for 1975 is based on responses from 186,406 freshmen entering 366 institutions; this institutional figure includes 339 prior and 27 new participants. Data were collected by administering the 1975 Student Information Form. It was designed to elicit a wide range of biographic and demographic data, as well as data on the student's high school background, career plans, educational aspirations, financial arrangements, high school activities, and current attitudes.
