Abstract | The impact that voluntary or compulsory enrollment has on the community college student in compensatory education programs needs to be studied. Few, if any, studies have focused specifically on the relationship of volunteer status and the effects of the compensatory programs. The question of whether nonvolunteers can be coerced to enroll in compensatory programs and benefit from them remains largely unanswered. (A list of 44 references if provided.) (DB) |
