| Abstract | The guide is arranged in vertical columns relating American history curriculum concepts to curriculum performance objectives, career concepts and career performance objectives, suggested teaching methods, and resource materials. The curriculum concepts covered in the guide coincide with those in the textbook presently used in teaching high school American history in the District. Space is provided for teachers' additions, deletions, notes, and criticisms, which will be useful when the guide is revised. Occupational information for 59 different occupations includes job duties, educational requirements, salary range, and employment opportunities. Appendixes list suggestions for teaching-learning activities; career development concepts; significant events and people from American history; organizations; periodicals; and selected references for career information, and audio-visual source information.
