Abstract | This book is used throughout the life skills coach training course. The content focuses on increasing the understanding the training material and to assist in coaching life skills students. The course, based on adult training and counseling methods, involves the development of problem-solving behaviors in the management of personal affairs. The book covers the same material as the coaching manual, with the addition of an overview of the life skills course and the coach training course, and student evaluation methods. The units cover principles and practices of structured group process, creative problem solving skills, structured human relations training, developing courses of action, essential life skills coaching skills, coaching skills, coaching practicum, and evaluating student progress. The balacned self-determined behavior model for interpersonal behavior and coaching skills such as role playing, questioning techniques, the case method, and discussion leading, are dealt with at length.
