| Abstract | The manual is a compendium of ideas, techniques, and procedures regarding book and library activities that have been formulated and tested in developing countries during recent years, primarily in the 1960's. The body of the manual is divided into two main parts. Part One provides general background on needs and practices. Part Two describes activities, programs, methods, and techniques for implementation that have been employed in the creation and conduct of book-related programs and projects in the developing world.
