Abstract | To analyze selected demographic and psychometric characteristics of dropouts and graduates from vocational training at a comprehensive rehabilitation center, nearly 600 dropouts and graduates of the Pennsylvania Rehabilitation Center were studied. Five variables were found to be useful in predicting dropouts: (1) preselected training goal upon entry, (2) sex, (3) age at onset of disability, (4) entry age, and (5) years of work experience. Validation of the model and cross-validation in other rehabilitation settings are recommended prior to any practical use. (Author/BH) |
