Abstract | This guide for teachers K-12 is intended to provide knowledge and techniques of implementation on the subject of eliminating prejudice in the schools. Background knowledge is given in the form of objectives of schools and in the nature of prejudice. Implementation methods are suggested for use in the classroom as well as for the use of resources in the community to change negative attitudes toward minority groups. The role which agencies, educational officials, and organizations in the community can play are given also. Suggestions which the teacher can follow to prepare himself as a model are offered. A final section deals with a summary of the legal aspects of individual rights. (CWB) |
