Abstract | The characteristics of approximately 1700 West Virginia non-migrants, returned migrants, and West Virginians living in the Appalachian ghetto of Cleveland and suburbs of Cleveland are described. Data, collected through interviews and questionnaire, are presented in marginal form without statistical analysis because one of the main purposes of this report is to include responses to all individual questions and summary score distributions of the questionnaire so that firsthand information is available in a single document. Seventy-one tables are included, as well as an appendix indicating way-of-life preferences for each of the 4 groups. (LS) |
