Abstract | The proceedings include explanations of the conference's purpose in the student teaching program at Illinois State University. George Richmond considers the goals and objectives of that program and Cecilia Lauby discusses philosophy, theory, and principles of supervision. Group discussions are reported regarding mentally, physically, visually, and aurally handicapped children as well as those with speech problems, social and emotional maladjustment, and learning disabilities. A student panel on student teaching is summarized and an evaluation of the conference is provided. (JD) |
