Abstract | COMPILED AS AN IDEA AND INFORMATION GUIDE FOR TEACHERS OF ADULT BASIC EDUCATION, THIS DOCUMENT INCLUDES DETAILED TEACHING OBJECTIVES, METHODS, AND MATERIALS (FILMS, FILMSTRIPS, BOOKS, TRANSPARENCIES). THE COURSE INCLUDES (1) READING AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS--PHONICS, VOCABULARY, REFERENCE, AND SO ON, (2) SOCIAL STUDIES--GOVERNMENT, GEOGRAPHY, HISTORY, WORLD AFFAIRS, CITIZENSHIP, ECONOMICS, SOCIAL AND POLITICAL PROBLEMS, (3) MATHEMATICS--COMPUTATION, FRACTIONS, MEASUREMENT, GEOMETRY, BASIC ALGEBRA, AND (4) SCIENCE--HEALTH AND SAFETY, BIOLOGY, AND PHYSICAL SCIENCE. EACH LEARNING OBJECTIVE IS REINFORCED WITH SUGGESTED PRACTICAL AND COMMON EXPERIENCE APPLICATIONS.
