Abstract	Partimos de una investigación realizada con jóvenes en la comarca de Els Ports, de Castellón. A través de un estudio de caso analizamos un proyecto de innovación participativa centrado en el tiempo libre de jóvenes. Mediante el diagnóstico social participativo (DSP) se estudian los factores educativos que aparecen a lo largo del proyecto y los procesos de empoderamiento y participación juvenil. Para poder realizar este análisis, en primer lugar debemos conocer la realidad del territorio. En este artículo presentamos la primera fase del DSP: la encuesta. Con esta herramienta hemos conocido cómo los y las jóvenes de la comarca organizan su tiempo de ocio y cuáles son sus preocupaciones como ciudadanos/as. Indagamos sobre sus hábitos dentro del tiempo libre, sus actividades juveniles y sus intereses. Compararemos si este tiempo se asume como una tarea educativa o, más bien, como un espacio de entretenimiento. De este modo, analizamos la necesidad de cambio para dinamizar el camino hacia la transformación y el desarrollo local. Entre los resultados, destacamos que para el colectivo de jóvenes de Els Ports el tiempo libre se organiza a través de actividades no programadas o puntuales y que en sus intereses está la necesidad de cambiar su realidad mediante la participación crítica. ; This paper is part of a research carried out with young people in the shire Els Ports of Castellón. Through a case study we analyze a participatory innovation project focused on youth leisure Els Ports. Through Participatory Social Diagnosis (PSD) are studied educational factors that appear throughout the project and the processes of empowerment and youth participation. To perform this analysis, firstly we must know the reality of the territory. In this article we present the first phase of PSD: the survey. With this tool we have known how young people organize their leisure time and what their concerns as citizens of the region. Inquire about their habits in the leisure, youth activities and interests. We will compare if leisure time is assumed as an educational task or, rather, as an entertainment. Thus, we analyze the need for change to streamline the path to transformation and local development. Among the results, we note that for the group of young leisure are arranged through scheduled or specific activities and also through their interests see the need to change their reality through critical participation. ; Educación
