Abstract | The COVID-19 pandemic and related lockdown measures have an adverse impact on young people's lives. We should state clearly that the younger generation experiences substantial effects on their healthy development related to reduced access to open spaces. One must not forget the widespread need among adolescents to socialize with peers and to use open spaces for leisure and recreation pursuits which play an important role during the adolescent phase of life. Currently, various professionals from the child and youth (community) work sector emphasize the problem of leaving young people behind in terms of taking measures to reduce social risks due to the pandemic crisis.
