Abstract | This article shall outline the origin and the development of the concept of lifelong learning in Germany from the beginnings in the 1960s over the further development as both a guideline in educational policy and as an area of discussion in educational science to its present shape and impact. Furthermore, important social conditions, driving and forming forces, personal and social requirements and current measures in educational policy will be depicted and explained. (Orig.). |
