| Abstract | Outcomes of research work carried on among academic teachers from two Cracow academies show that personal values such as own and family welfare are on the highest position. Moral values:honesty, goodness, sincerity, generosity and loyalty are also highly located. Intellectual values connected with the character of the profession as well as with the ethos of teacher's profession are also popular. Appreciation and authority are considered important too. Among values which aim to provide a happy private life, pecuniary-existence values are of great importance. It is necessary to underline, that the type of higher school, the sex and the age influence on the selection of life values. Men prefer values connected with their profession - success, promotion, authority and appreciation. Young academic teachers put a stress on material values, professional success and private happiness. (DIPF/Abstract übernommen). |
