Abstract | In 1994 researches were carried on among the group of teachers (381 persons). The results show that, among others, teachers' expectations are the following: good atmosphere of work, realisation of own professional aspirations and possibility for professional development - however the school fulfils them to a lowest degree. Peaceful reconciliation of work and family life is realized to the highest degree - according to teachers' hierarchy of needs - this was the least important. Teachers feel well in a situation when the requirements are exactly precised (such a situation is especially preferred by women). Teacher's autonomy depends more on personal qualities than on working conditions. The autonomy is considered not as thoughtful- conceplional construction of own activity, but only as some aspects of that activity eg. the choice of working methods. One of the interesting outcomes of the research is that work with students, who-because of their age -know less and are less able, is the factor for deficiency of development stimulation. On the contrary - aquiring personal satisfaction stimulates the activity. (DIPF/Abstract übernommen). |
