Abstract | This paper describes attempts to increase parental choice and educational autonomy in public sector schools focusing on three recent models of school reform: magnet schools, 'controlled choice', and charter schools. The author notes advantages and disadvantages of these models as they have become apparent in the course of the last decade. (DIPF/orig.) |
