| Abstract | The research conducted at local education authorities all over Poland in the 3rd and 4th terms of 1992 is presented in the article. The research concerned changes that took place in vocational education.... As it appears from the research, the vocational educational system is being adapted to changes in the economic sector, although the adaptative processes are not significant on a large scale. The most often implemented changes are: the implementation of curricula for newly designed vocations and vocational specializations, the modernization of practical instruction and workshops, curricula developed by teachers ("author's curricula"), the establishment of secondary general schools attached to vocational schools, the foundation of polyvocational classes, the implementation of broad- profile education....
