Abstract	The purpose of this article is to disclose the scientific basis of the author's academic terminological dictionary for future oil industry experts. Multifaceted terminological dictionary with several different entries is considered to be one of the possible ways to present a special discourse in the classroom. As a result of the study the authors conclude that there is a close interrelationship between the terminological picture of the world with the language picture of the individual's world which can be traced within complex representation of terminological vocabulary as an important component of specialist`s language picture of the world. Versatile presentation of terminological system of a certain sphere of knowledge will allow to consider various aspects of the term as a unit of special knowledge. A lexicographical model proposed by authors is designed to adequately encode terminological information into meta-language, easy to understand for students and sufficient for future oil industry professionals.
