AbstractThe purpose of this study was to examine the level of congruence in the perceptions of institutional effectiveness among four groups of stakeholders at a small, private university in the Southern United States. The constituency consisted of 923 on-campus students, 12 administrators, 60 faculty, and 120 staff members. A descriptive research design was used in this quantitative study. The instrument, a Likert-scale survey on the perceptions of institutional effectiveness, was used with permission from the creator, Dr. Jeff Metcalf, president of Kentucky Christian University. A one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to treat the data as well as the Welch, Brown-Forsythe, and Kruskal-Wallis tests. In addition, a Scheffe Test was used to identify pairs of means to determine if differences existed between groups. Findings indicated that some perceptions of institutional effectiveness differed among and between administrators, faculty, staff, and students at this private university.
