Abstract | This document is intended to provide a record of the activities of the conference. Featured in the conference were 11 general sessions, 16 panels and symposia, several invited presentations, multiple workshops, and over 100 contributed presentations. The proceedings contain seven sections, five of which are topically arranged with presentors listed alphabetically. These include presentations pertaining to: (1) environmental/educational philosophy; (2) environmental/educational policy; (3) international, global, and third-world concerns; (4) educational research; and (5) environmental education methodologies. General session addresses, and panels and symposia are contained in the other two sections. These papers are at full length, while all others have been edited to approximately 1,500 words. If an extended abstract was not submitted, the short abstract from the conference program is included to complete the record of the conference. Although the conference was not officially designated as an international one, participants from ten nations outside North America took active roles in various sessions. (TW) |
