Abstract | This document consists of the materials presented at a one-day workshop dealing with a new concept in articulation between secondary and postsecondary institutions that involves two years of pretechnology education at the secondary level and two years of training in any one of a number of technical and high-technology fields at the postsecondary level. Included in the volume are the following presentations and other materials: "2 + 2 Tech Prep/Associate Degree Program; A Working Degree for America" by Dale Parnell; "What High Schools and Postsecondary Schools Are Finding about Training Technicians" by Daniel M. Hull; a section called "What Are the Issues?" containing materials for use in small group discussions; "Establishing an Articulation Process" by W. Alan Sosbe; a section on "Building an Articulation Plan for Your State or District" containing materials for use in small group planning; and "A National project Leading to 2 + 2 Programs Principles of Technology" by Daniel M. Hull and Bennie F. Lucroy. The texts of presentations describing examples of various 2 + 2 programs by the following individuals are also provided: Jack Isch, representing Oklamoha City, Oklahoma; John Washburn, representing the Illinois Board of Education; LeAnna Skogen, representing Aurora, Colorado; and Paul L.
