AbstractThe Academic Program Information System (APIS), an inventory of all adacemic programs at the State University of New York (SUNY), is the basis for two major reports contained in this publication. The two APIS reports provide enrollments and degrees-granted data for each program at each instituion of SUNY. Enrollment data are point-in-time information. Total enrollments and full-time enrollments are given for Fall 1975, 1976 and 1977. Degrees granted data are provided for the years 1974-75, 1975-76, and 1976-77. The variety and number of academic programs made it necessary to aggregate individual programs into clusters for summarizing statistical data. Individual programs are clustered on the basis of their subject matter. Programs are also organized by clustering the approximately 60 different degree designations currently offered by SUNY into seven award levels: undergraduate certificates and diplomas, associate degrees bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, doctoral degrees, first-professional degrees, and graduate certificates. The first report (APIS-8) in this publication is organized by campus; the second report (APIS-9), by award level. Enrollment data included is not the total official credit course enrollment for each institution, but the total enrollments of students in a program. Tables are provided showing the total credit course enrollment for each institution and separately identify those students in a program and those not in a program. (LBH)
