Abstract | The basic purpose behind the Paris Conference was to satisfy the practical needs of developing countries for ready access to educational, scientific, and technical works, without weakening the structure and scope of copyright protection offered by developed countries under both the Universal Copyright Convention and the Berne Convention. This document contains testimony by seven witnesses and six prepared statements to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. (A related document is ED 060 869.) (NH/SJ) |
