| Abstract | This article outlines the main components of one of the Spanish evaluation systems in higher education, know as circular evaluation. These are: a) evaluation of teaching quality by way of student opinion; b)evaluation by professors of their relations with students, of the setting in which they carry out their teaching and research activities, and of the performance of university and ministry institutions; c) evaluation by university and ministry insitutions of professors' teaching and research: and d) evaluation by professors of their students' evaluations (meta-evaluation). The advantages of this evaluation system over more classical uni-dimensional models are highlighted.(DIPF/Abstract übernommen) |
