| Abstract | Is your museum on the periphery of your community or at the heart of what matters? This article provides a rationale and model for situating your museum at the heart of the community through place-based study. Drawing on an interdisciplinary project in Kansas entitled Seeing Our Community with New Eyes, the authors provide pedagogical options and recommendations for museum educators.
