Abstract	As long as the question of what recent graduates can do with their degree is being asked, the need for comprehensive and trustworthy data will exist. Between the White House College Scorecard, the Rubio-Wyden-Warner Student Right to Know Before You Go Act, the USDOE's Title IV Federal Student Aid Programs: Gainful Employment in a Recognized Profession, Proposed Rules, as well as the needs of institutions and future graduates, it is clear that all colleges and universities must be ready to respond to demands for career-outcomes data. These data are most valuable in decision making for all stakeholders when they allow for direct comparisons and meaningful aggregation. It is important to recognize that the data collected through survey efforts such as those described in this article cannot be interpreted in a vacuum. There are many factors outside of institutional control that can influence post-graduation outcomes. (ERIC).
