Abstract | This study summarizes courses and programs in scientific and technical communication during the past 20 years. The results show that there has been a rapid increase in the number of courses and programs offered at two-year and four-year colleges and universities, as well as a 500% increase in the number of schools offering courses. The results reveal that 36 states have courses, certificates, and/or degree programs in scientific and technical communication. In addition, there has been a rapid increase in the number of higher education institutions offering courses in World Wide Web and online courses. The results are discussed in this paper.
