Abstract	This module provides information about the benefits of entering into a cooperative agreement with another agency. Also provided is information about developing successful agreements. The guide includes a list of definitions and uses a question-and-answer format to discuss the rationale for interagency cooperation, the best approach to coordination, essential elements for success, levels of coordination, benefits of interagency cooperation, sources of conflict and potential problems associated with interagency collaboration, common elements in planning, steps in developing a cooperative agreement, components of an agreement, and coordination of interagency agreement techniques. Sixteen references and a sample cooperative agreement are included. (KC)
