Abstract	The aim of the "Tableau de Bord" or Managing Chart on continuing vocational training (CVT) in Europe is to provide an initial guide to existing information in the various countries concerning the situations, practices and efforts being made in the field of continuing vocational training in the different countries. The intention is also to initiate a dialogue based on a comparison which takes account of the features shared by all countries as well as the features specific to each individual country. The Managing Chart was produced pragmatically, and is based on the national reports supplied by the Member States. It highlights areas of convergence in terms of data collection, structures, concepts and practices in the field ov CVT, as well as special points and innovative features specific to the training mechanisms in each country.
