Abstract | The "American School Board Journal's" annual survey of school board members sought to determine whether board members' religious and political beliefs affected the way they viewed issues confronting their schools. A traditionally conservative education agenda found its strongest support among members who described themselves as politically or religiously conservative. Overall, board members' public actions were not automatically tied to their personal beliefs. (LMI) |
