Abstract | Assessed the ability of regular classroom teachers, guidance counselors, and special education teachers, to identify characteristics of adolescent depression. Found counselors possessed the greatest knowledge of these characteristics, while regular and special education teachers were less able to identify them. Results raise training and evaluation issues.
