Abstract | Many educators consider racial equity crucial but feel unsure what initial steps to take to start making positive change in their school. The interconnectedness of all elements of equity work makes taking action on one element difficult, Gutierrez notes--but we shouldn't let that reality lead to inaction or solutions that only involve adults talking. He explains how to avoid "stuckness" by finding one concrete step to take first that's likely to bring actual change for students. (As Provided). |
