Abstract	This study was about cyber counselors working with children and adolescents in South Korea. The purpose of this qualitative study was to develop an understanding of cyber counselors in S. Korea, and their successes and challenges as they work with children and adolescents online. The study helped to develop an understanding about their served child and adolescent clients, their problems, supports and barriers to help from families, friends, and teachers. Counselors' experiences within the cyber counseling relationship provided a context for understanding cyber counseling, its effects and shortcomings in a Korean culture, where seeking mental health treatment carries social stigma and accessing mental health services are limited. The primary goals of this study are to identify the themes that characterize the experiences of cyber counselors providing cyber counseling to children and adolescents; the similarities and differences among counselors' themes, and the similarities and differences between the themes described by study participants and those described in the literature. For the study, ten cyber counselors were interviewed with semi-structured interview questions. Findings showed similar characteristics among their clients including lack of social support, lack of interpersonal skills, psychological issues, and high risk behavior with self-harm or suicide. Parents and teachers' lack of understanding of mental health issues was noted in reference to avoiding mental health treatment for children and adolescents. As cyber counselors, issues of confidentiality and appropriate care were presented and discussed as possible ethical dilemmas.
