Abstract | The effectiveness of educational leadership programs offered at higher education institutions is becoming a topic of interest for educational leaders due to the importance of the direct and indirect roles that leaders play in school development and educational outcomes. The purpose of this study was to assess the Educational Leadership Master's program at Al-Imam University based on perceptions and beliefs of students regarding program effectiveness and learning outcomes. This study was conducted at Al-Imam University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with n= (120) participants who were either currently enrolled or who have recently graduated from the educational leadership master's program. The study found that students who were enrolled in the Educational Leadership Master's program in Al-Imam University believe that their program has adequately prepared them to be effective leaders based on following standards: organizational leadership, instructional leadership, strategic leadership, social leadership, ethical leadership, political and community leadership. The findings of this study may encourage decision makers at Al-Imam University to promote the program strengths and help Saudi universities by benefiting from Al-Imam experience to improve their educational leadership programs. Some recommendations were given in this study; for instance, assessment should be set in educational programs agenda; students should be an integral part of the assessment process, and it is important to offer internship in educational leadership programs.
