Abstract | The model is presented in five sections: (1) orientation; (2) content specifications; (3) curriculum management specifications; (4) implementation model; and (5) content sourcebook. These sections are intended to characterize and integrate the systems complex of energy/environmental education and teacher training. They are intended as orienting documents for curriculum or program developers. Desired outcomes from the model are: (1) development of high school teachers' understanding of energy/environmental education; and (2) development of their professional capabilities in devising instructional/learning arrangements which communicate a similar understanding to students.
