Abstract	This report examines educational planning in England and Wales, carried out as part of the program of the Education Committee of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) for the Review of National Educational Policies. The publication is comprised of three parts. Part one provides background information on the educational system of England and Wales which includes a description of administration and finance, educational planning, and teacher training. A glossary of educational terms is included. Part two is a report prepared by the OECD examiners on which the discussions at the "confrontation" meeting within the Education Committee in December 1974 were based. Part three contains the record of the discussions which took place at the Education Committee meeting. The names of the OECD examiners and the members of the special British delegation who took part in these discussions are provided in an annex. (Author/RM)
