Abstract | This Chapter is the result of the collaboration between an educator from the "Escola Superior de Educacao de Lisboa", Portugal and an educator from the "Institute Universitaire de Formation des Maitres" (IUFM) in Paris, France. Both of these educators visited one another's institutions in 1993 and cooperated in making a comparison of the provision for science education in both countries. The studies examine mainly the curriculum of both countries and the manner in which it is delivered in elementary and secondary schools. (DIPF/orig.). |
