Abstract	The Second European Conference on Euregional Transnational Education, organised in Maastricht in October 1996 in partnership with the "Talenacademie" in the Netherlands, allowed the number of participants and Euroregions working intensively towards cross-border cooperation to be increased. A large number of workshops were proposed during this event, showing that cross-border partnership is now a daily reality, not only for those involved in education, but also for decision-makers whether they be from the economic, political, or educational worlds. For two days cross-border projects were explained in various workshops allowing euroregional working committees to be set up which will meet regularly to prepare theme- based meetings, with a view to preparing the "Third European Conference on Euregional Transnational Education", continuing in this way the creation of a network of partners for cross-border cooperation.
