Abstract	This guide provides descriptions of 1,862 summer and short-term academic and language study-abroad programs that range from one-week language study courses to full-summer or semester-length university programs. An introductory section provides information on the Institute of International Education (IIE), IIE publications, the use of the guide, planning study abroad, additional resources, and how to read study-abroad literature. The bulk of the guide consists of individual program descriptions, arranged geographically by region and country. Each listing provides information on program sponsor and name, site, dates, subjects, eligibility, credit, instruction, costs, housing, deadline, other information, and contact point. Programs are indexed by program sponsor, consortia, field of study, special options, cost, and duration. (MDM)
